#116 EQUIPMENT AND TOOLS * (revised 6/1) small tools for each section

Small tools for each department

Each department or section is issued tools for the maintenance and repair of their areas. Some of tools are common to all and some are specific to their work.

The tool box

We have purchased inexpensive but durable one color small plastic fishing boxes and small padlocks with individual keys. The box and the tools are color coded for each department. We use colored plastic electrical type tape for this or a spot of colored paint if the tape is not possible. The box is locked at all times and the key is in the possession of the section leader If the box and all the other equipment is not secured and locked, there will be no tools in the section after one year. Mark my words!
